Air New Zealand receives first Boeing 777-300ER

Just before Christmas, Air New Zealand took delivery of its first of five new Boeing 777-300ER aircrafts. The new aircraft is configured with 244 Economy, 50 Premium Economy and 44 Business premier seats, and features the New Zealand-designed economy Skycouch, which will give people the flexibility of being able to lie down or stretch out in economy class, Premium Economy class, and is the first commercial airline to have induction ovens in all cabins. Accepted in Seattle, the plane was then flown to Auckland, and is expected to begin long-haul flights to LA and London as early as April this year. A second Boeing 777-300ER is due for delivery in February and a third in April.
