American Airlines, British Airways and Iberia Launch New Joint Business

A new joint business venture between American Airlines, British Airways and Iberia will see the airlines cooperate commercially on flights between the European Union, Switzerland, Norway, Mexico, Canada and the United States. The combined route network will serve over 400 destinations in 105 countries with around 5,200 daily departures. Four new routes will start in April 2011 as an early benefit of the new trilateral relationship. They are: New York JFK to Budapest and Chicago to Helsinki (operated by American), London Heathrow to San Diego (operated by British Airways) and Madrid to Los Angeles (operated by Iberia).
