Aurora Expeditions has announced two new voyages to the Russian Arctic; a location famed for its remoteness and wildlife. Aurora’s 14-day ‘Voyage to the End of the Earth’ departs from Arkhangelsk and travels to the Barents Sea before reaching Franz Josef Land. The 191 islands that make up this region are largely uninhabited, are only accessible by sea and have only been open to foreigners since 1991. ‘Secrets of the White Sea’ begins at Murmansk and spends 10-days around the Kola Peninsula. Both voyages set sail on the ice-strengthened Akademik Shokalskiy. Aurora also takes expeditions to Antarctica, the Kimberley Coat, Papua New Guinea and the High Arctic.
