Best August Snowfall in over 25 Years for Perisher Resort

Perisher ski resort has experienced its best August snowfall in over 25 years, and the rest of the Snowy Mountains have record falls and abundant snow. The last great snowfall in August was recorded in 1984, and this year's season is looking to be identical - in 1984, August snowfalls were 157cm for the month, and this year's totals are at 113 centimetres. Perisher resort will stay open until the October long weekend, so skiers can still grab their skis and enjoy the snow after winter has passed.
