Boeing may push production of its 737 to 42 per month in 2013. Last September Boeing announced its latest target to be 38 per month. Boeing is currently assessing customers’ fleet needs and production capabilities before confirming the move. Boeing is also still deciding how to update its current narrow-body plane to deliver greater fuel efficiency. They are considering either re-designing or installing a new engine to the current model. A decision by the company can be expected later this year.
