British Airways have revealed the plans for their new luxury first-class cabins, which are due to be completed in mid 2011. The airline says the project was focused on allowing passengers to “work, sleep, eat and be entertained in a way that matches their premium lifestyles and expectations.” Through the airline’s ‘Quintessentially’ service, passengers will enjoy a personal concierge, a private wardrobe, and high thread count Egyptian bedding. The suites also boast 15-inch television screens and a ‘moodlighting’ system, where passengers can control the amount of light in their cabin. The first class dining service includes traditional English high tea in the afternoons, as well as a la carte and bistro options for lunch and dinner. Every first class passenger will also now be allowed three items of luggage, weighing up to 30 kilograms each. The airline says that the new suites will be on first class routes to Australia within a few months.
