Central West
|
The Central West is located west of the Blue Mountains and contains cities such as Bathurst, Lithgow, Forbes and Orange. Whilst some of these cities are beyond three hours Orange is close by and you will find plenty to do there. The region has stunning natural attractions, such as the Abercrombie Caves and Aboriginal rock paintings in Rylestone. The countryside is also worth a trip; the Central West is an agricultural heartland boasting vineyards and mountains such as Mt. Canobolas, which offers spectacular views. The Central West is filled with old gold towns and this legacy can still be felt in the various towns with their old-fashioned buildings and English gardens.
