Design Hotel Alila Luang Prabang opens in Laos

Design Hotels has recently opened its newest property in Laos - the Alila Luang Prabang. Utilising an infusion of French colonial charm with contemporary and modern elements, the hotel’s 23 suites provide panoramic views across the township towards mountains. The Alila boasts a cooking school, spa, four swimming pools, library and landscaped gardens. A ‘gift-to-share’ program has also been initiated, allowing guests to provide support to local schools. The hotel is located in an ancient town that was once the royal capital of Laos, Luang Prabang is a UNESCO World Heritage site dotted with ornate Buddhist temples, art galleries and traditional craft boutiques, nestled between the Mekong and Nam Khan Rivers.
