Archibald finalist, Eolo Paul Bottaro's reveals his latest exhibition: 'Oro' which opens at James Makin Gallery. The artist's work is distinctive both for its form and use of materials combining classical mythology with contemporary iconography. Created with paints made from hand-ground pigments and compositions based on the Fibonacci sequence, his paintings are striking and are influenced by Italian frescoes housed in churches and palazzos. The artwork is open to all with some of his work taking over 12 months to complete. It also features Crucifixion-type figurative compositions and reclining classical nudes.
