Cambodia’s first luxury private island, Song Saa, has just completed the first mock-up of its one-bedroom villa. The upmarket resort is being built in Cambodia’s pristine Koh Rong Archipelago, and has been under construction since March 2010. Upon completion, the resort will feature 25 rainforest, beach, and over-water villas. Mr. Rory Hunter, CEO of Brocon (the Australian company behind the development) said that he is “pleased with the project’s steady progress.” He also said that the completion of the first jungle villa “marks a key milestone” and “illustrates the quality of development that we aim to achieve at the resort.” The resort, which is scheduled to open in November 2011, will release a second show villa in mid-February.
