Hainan Airlines expands into Australian market

China’s fourth largest carrier, Hainan airlines, have expanded into the Australian market with the airline planning to operate three frequencies a week on the Hangzhou-Shenzhen-Sydney route. After its first touchdown in Sydney this week the airline wishes to secure more seats from authorities with Hainan Airlines chief marketing officer, Wei Hou, claiming Australia has always been a main priority for the company. Hou believes that a myriad of business and tourism opportunities will result from negotiations between Australia and China as both Shenzhen and Hangzhou among the top Chinese cities in terms of economic development and cultural diversity.
