Haneda’s new international terminal to open this month

15 kilometres from the heart of Tokyo, the new Haneda International Terminal will open on October 21, 2010. The five-storey terminal will host 74 shops and restaurants for visitors and 31 shops within the security areas for passengers to enjoy. On the upper floors, shops have been designed to replicate the Edo period (1603-1867), giving visitors a glimpse of the nation’s past. The new terminal also features a planetarium.
