Hokkaido Luxury Hotel Welcoming Guests For The Ski Season

Date: 24 September 2010
YTL Hotel Group's multi-billion Yen project to redefine alpine luxury in Niseko, Japan, is underway. The award-winning New York-based firm Champalimaud Design is overseeing the renovation of the 200-room ski-in ski-out Green Leaf Niseko Village, slated for completion in time for the northern ski season, opening 1 December 2010. The hotel features a collection of original artwork by celebrated Japanese artist Soichiro Tomioka, and offers views of Hokkaido's Mt Yotei from the corner suites and guestrooms. The hotel is a year-round mountain lodge with activities ranging from skiing to two 18-hole championship golf courses, and also offers paragliding, trekking, horseback riding, kayaking and river rafting. The purpose-designed skier services building features a full equipment rental counter and multi-purpose lounge with cinema display screen. On the roof, guests can enjoy the open air rooftop Beer Garden and Grill, accessible directly from the slopes.
