The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has granted interim authorisation for a joint business agreement between Qantas and American Airlines. As part of the agreement, the two airlines will coordinate services on their trans-Tasman routes as well as trans-Pacific routes, including the Australian flag carrier’s newest Dallas/Fort Worth service. The agreement was endorsed with the potential to make travelling between Australia and the United States more attractive in terms of better fares, improved connections and increased flight frequencies.
