Korean Air has unveiled the interior of its new Airbus A380, the world’s largest passenger aircraft.

As the latest airline to receive the superjumbo, Korean Air has followed the precedent set by Emirates and the aircraft features a cocktail bar for its first class passengers. The airline has also installed a duty free shop at the back of the plane, an airline first.

The Korean Air A380s boast particularly spacious interiors with a total of 407 seats in comparison to Qantas’ 450 seats and Emirates’ 517 seats. The double-decker features 12 first class and 301 economy class seats on the first deck, with the upper deck catering for up to 94 business class travellers.

The airline took possession of its first A380 in late June and flights from South Korea to Hong Kong began later that month. With a total of ten A380s ordered by the airline, with the first five to be delivered by the end of 2011, Korean Air intends to offer flights to New York and Los Angeles from later this year.
