Tate Modern (London, UK) - Luxury Travel Magazine

One of four Tate galleries displaying selections from the Tate Collection, the Tate Modern collection is comprised of the national collection of British art (from the year 1500 to the present), and of international modern art (from the year 1900 to the present). The museum was created in 2000 from a disused power station in Bankside in central London, and houses significant pieces by Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Salvador Dalí, Max Ernst, René Magritte, Jackson Pollock and Andy Warhol. The collection is divided into four seminal periods, Surrealism, Minimalism, Post-war innovations in abstraction and figuration, and Cubism/Futurism/Vorticism
