Lufthansa will overhaul of ten Boeings 747-400s for a new look first-class. From April to November, Europe’s largest airline will transform the select planes first class cabins to include only eight seats. In 2010, the company began its revamp of first class onboard its flagship A380. Each of the eight first class seats will feature a full-length, permanent eight-feet long, lie-flat bed adjacent to passenger’s seats. The cabin will be furnished with sound-absorbing curtains and sound-deadening insulation beneath the carpet, 17-inch monitors, matt-brushed metal, scarred leather and a Porsche design amenity kit containing Lamer cosmetics. The business and economy class cabin are also being refurbished.
