Yandina Station Luxury Rural Retreat
|
Yandina Creek, QLD
|
Enjoy the private rural tranquillity of historic Yandina Station, the Sunshine Coast’s oldest working cattle station. Established in 1853, this working 200 acre Brahman cattle farm is only a short, scenic drive from Noosa, Coolum and spectacular beaches.
The family owned property has undergone recent expansion with three new luxury two-bedroom cottages set peacefully amongst eucalypts and Moreton Bay Fig trees. The cottages are named after the original cattle runs of the property, which encompassed 100,000 acres from near Noosa south to the Maroochy River: Whidlka-Whidlka, Canando and Pooreema. The light filled living spaces open onto timber decks perfectly positioned to overlook the lush grazing pastures of the historic cattle station. Explore the original outbuildings such as the Old Dairy, the Creamery and the Sawmill.
Packages include elaborate High Teas in the garden and hearty Ploughmans Platters on the Homestead verandah at sunset. The original 1870s Homestead has previously been a popular restaurant and is now an exclusive wedding and corporate event venue which was chosen by Sir Richard Branson for the launch of Virgin Blue in 2000.
