LUXURY HOTELS REWARDED AT THE 2011 HM AWARDS

Luxury Hotels rewarded at the 2011 HM Awards - Luxury Travel Magazine

On Friday night, the annual 2011 Awards for Hotel and Accommodation Excellence were presented at the Sydney Town Hall in front of a record crowd of 600 hoteliers, industry leaders and major suppliers. Hosted by Larry Emdur, the awards recognised the accommodation industry’s finest staff, properties, brands and chains across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. Hamilton Island’s qualia was awarded in three key categories – Australian Lodge, Resort and Day Spa. Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa was highly commended in the Australian Lodge and Resort categories before taking out the Australian Regional Property award. The Luxury Hotel award went to Crown Towers in Melbourne, which was also highly commended in the Concierge and Hotel of the Year categories, the latter of which was awarded to Sydney’s InterContinental Hotel – which also took out the Business Hotel category.
