The Singapore-based Pan Pacific Hotel Group is preparing for the launch of the Parkroyal and Pan Pacific brands in Australia later this year. $3 million is being spent on a room revamp and refreshment of public areas at its Parramatta property, with a further $4 million earmarked for renovations of the banquet ballroom space at the Sheraton in Perth, which will be rebranded as The Pan Pacific Perth. The Crowne Plaza Darling Harbour will be rebranded as Parkroyal along with the Crowne Plaza Parramatta property by November, and work there is expected to begin by the end of 2010. The group has $220 million invested in its three properties in Australia.
