NEW FAIRMONT PROPERTY TO OPEN IN CHENGDU, CHINA
New Fairmont Property to Open in Chengdu, China - Luxury Travel Magazine

| Fairmont Hotels and Resorts recently announced that they are developing a new property in Chengdu, in Western China, scheduled to open in 2014. The luxury hotel will be situated in the Palm Springs International Centre in Tianfu New Town. The contemporary hotel will feature 375 guestrooms as well as 60 Fairmont Service Residences. 1,500 square metres of function space, a 900 square-metre ballroom, and a range of dining options will be available. In addition, a spa, fitness and pool facilities are among the list of amenities that will be on offer. Jennifer Fox, the president of the luxury hotel chain commented: “Chengdu is one of the fastest growing cities in China … its stature as an economic, transportation, and communications hub of Western China, coupled with its cosmopolitan offerings and proximity to natural attractions ensures demand from both business and leisure travellers.” | |||||||
