New luxury riverboat launched in the Peruvian Amazon

Date: 5 May, 2011
The M/V Aria, a new luxury riverboat from Aqua Expeditions, made its maiden voyage in the Peruvian Amazon at the end of April. The M/V Aria features 16 cabins with floor to ceiling windows, a fully air-conditioned top deck, an Amazon Grill, observation lounge, outdoor Jacuzzi, sun deck and exercise room. The crew consists of four experienced nature guides to educate guests on the area as well as a reference library and air-conditioned multimedia room on board. The vessel will offer guests three, four, and seven night itineraries.
It will join the recently relaunched Delfin I by Delfin Amazon Cruises. The Delfin 1 was extensively refurbished at the end of 2010 and now features four large premium suites of 350 square feet. Each suite has its own 316 square feet sun deck, private Jacuzzi, floor to ceiling windows, Amazon Wildlife reference library, and TV & DVDS.
All vessels depart from the northern town of Iquitos, a one and a half hour flight from Lima, and home to Peru’s largest natural reserve, Pacaya-Samiria.
