P&O to base cruises out of Melbourne

Carnival Australia has announced P&O Cruises will base cruises out of the Victorian capital city for the first time in the 2012/2013 season, and the those departing from Melbourne will include seven summer cruises onboard Pacific Sun, commencing from late 2012. Newcastle, NSW, has been dropped as a homeport due to lower than expected sales. The line’s 2012/2013 season will feature 126 voyages from June 2012 to April 2013, and include two new ports, Port Lincoln and Kangaroo Island in South Australia. These new season voyages will be on sale from March 31.
