A New World

Luxury-lovers who fly Club World on British Airlines will enjoy new heights of British style and comfort after the unveiling of their new Business Class cabins. The redesigned lie flat bed has been styled with privacy in mind – an electronic screen ensures no nosy neighbours. The bed also comes with a substantial increase in width and an adjustable headrest and lumbar support. Larger TV screens and an improved entertainment-on-demand system complete the in-seat experience. And for your mid-flight cravings the Club Kitchen will have a wider range of help-yourself-snacks. There will also be a choice of wines, beers, and lagers. On the ground, watch out for the new Club World lounge opening at London Heathrow in 2008. Visit British Airways www.ba.com

The Flying Kangaroo

Qantas’s iconic kangaroo is set to have a new millennium face lift. The kangaroo logo which first appeared in 1944, when the kangaroo from the Australian one-penny coin was adapted and painted beneath the cockpit of Qantas’s first Liberator aircraft, is set to become sleeker and more contoured to fit with the changing shape of new aircraft. The new logo will gradually appear on all of the Qantas fleet ahead of the A380s introduction in August 2008, Visit Qantas www.qantas.com.au
