Re-launch of The Grand Mauritian

The Grand Mauritian, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, is currently being upgraded to improve ocean access. Although only two years old, the 193-room property is being renovated to include a new beachfront area with striking landscaped gardens. The shoreline is now a quarter of a mile of beach and private bathing areas with two natural basalt-rock pools. The hotel has appointed Jan Bundgaard as General Manager responsible for over-seeing the re-launch. Bundgaard has over 20 years of international hotel management experience and has held positions at properties including Sandy Lane, Barbados, the Luxury Collection resort and the Westin in Nusa Dua, Bali, the Westin Kuala Lumpur, and, most recently, The Westin Mumbai Garden City.
