Sofitel Luxury Hotels have opened the Sofitel Malabo Sipopo Le Golf Hotel on Bioko Island in Africa, the French brand’s second location in Equatorial Guinea. Aimed at both business and leisure travellers, the hotel features contemporary glass architecture and a scenic golf course. Situated in the business district of Malabo, the hotel is located near the international conference centre, the downtown area and the airport. There are 200 rooms available for reservation, including 10 suites that offer views of the ocean or the golf course. The hotel also includes five different restaurants and bars that have been designed with French and African influences, and that cater to a range of tastes and occasions. Guests can also enjoy the use of a pool, exercise in the gym and explore the local vegetation on a private island accessible by footbridge.
