| Coinciding with the 30th birthday of the Sydney Tower, as well as September school holidays, the new Sydney Tower Eye will relaunch on 23 September this year. The experience will begin at the base level of the Tower, Level 5 Westfield Shopping Centre, and will include a pre-show presentation of facts, images and the history of the Tower’s construction. Moving on, visitors will enter the new 4D cinema to watch the first 4D film produced in Australia, featuring footage of Sydney Harbour, the coastline, iconic landmarks and events, complete with in-theatre effects including wind, bubbles and fire. Finally, visitors will reach the renovated Observation Deck, with views that span 80 kilometres in any direction – from the Blue Mountains to Botany Bay and out to the Pacific Ocean. Also available is the Skywalk experience, an opportunity to visit the outdoor, open-air platform on the roof of the Observation Deck, 260 metres above ground level. |
