| Shangri-La International Hotel Management Ltd has announced the opening of Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai. The luxury hotel, which is located in the new Kerry Parkside complex in the centre of Pudong, is part of the new five-star hotel brand by Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts called Kerry Hotels. Greg Dogan, president and CEO of Shangri-La International Hotel Management Ltd, expresses “the hotels will appeal to the business traveller who prefers a vibrant and relaxed environment without compromising on service or quality.” 31 storeys high, the Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai offers 574 guestrooms and suites complete with sleek and contemporary furnishings, 40-inch flat-screen televisions, iPod docking stations and complementary broadband and wireless Internet to optimise comfort for work, relaxation and socialising. Seven floors are dedicated the Club accommodation, including 33 suites with a residential-style ambiance where guests can enjoy round the clock butler, Club concierge services, and exclusive access to the spacious Club Lounge. The hotel houses the city’s largest hotel-based sports club with Kerry Sports, with facilities including a 24 hour gymnasium, a studio for spinning, Pilates and yoga, a 25-metre heated swimming pool, basketball and tennis courts, and a roof-top jogging track. In addition, the Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai introduces a new integrated dining and entertainment concept called The COOK, The MEET, and The BREW, offering guests a selection of unique dining experiences.
