Sofitel Queenstown achieves Exclusive Qualmark status

The Sofitel Queenstown Hotel and Spa has been admitted into the 'Exclusive' accommodation category of Qualmark - New Zealand tourism’s official quality assurance system. Properties must achieve a five-star grade with a minimum 95 percentage score and meet additional criteria relating to management, track record, international marketing and qualified staff to be eligible for Qualmark Exclusive Status. The central Otago region hotel has also been awarded Enviro-Gold status in the Green operators category of Qualmark. So far only eight luxury lodges and villas in the region have achieved Exclusive status, with the Sofitel Queenstown the first hotel to be recognised.
