| Starwood Hotels and Resorts has launched the Starwood Asia Pacific Villa Collection which brings together one of the largest collections of luxury villas in the region. The collection consists of 768 villas in 19 of Starwood’s resorts across nine countries including Australia, Fiji, Indonesia and Thailand. Each of the villas is designed to reflect their location and the brand of their home resort. Le Meridien villas, such as those at Iles des Pins, New Caledonia, are chic and contemporary. St Regis Villas are sumptuous and sophisticated, while W villas, like those at the W Retreat & Spa Maldives, are modern and edgy. Sheraton villas are well suited for families and can be found at two Australian properties, the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas and Sheraton Mirage Gold Coast. The villas are designed to take advantage of the best features of the resort, while still offering privacy and exclusivity. Many of the villas have private pools, outdoor dining, and state-of-the-art kitchens. The villas are recommended for family or group travel as they offer the comforts of a private home, with separate living areas and up to five bedrooms, coupled with the luxury services and amenities of a resort. Some come with extra luxe features, like the villas at the St Regis Bali Resort, which come with a personal St Regis butler, or the Presidential Villa at Le Meridien Shimei Bay, which has a private sauna in the bathroom. More villas are currently under development and will be added to the collection including the Westin Ubud Resort & Spa, the St Regis Sanya Yalong Bay Resort and the Sheraton Guangzhou Huadu Resort. The Collection has been launched with a new website www.starwoodhotels.com/villacollectionsasiapacific that can be used by travel agents and travellers to locate, compare and book villas. | |||||||
