(Surf Haven Bali Spa Retreat – Bali)

A LUXURY WOMEN’S SPA RETREAT THAT OPENED RECENTLY ON SEMINYAK BEACH IN BALI OFFERS WEEKLONG PACKAGES THAT INCLUDE DAILY SURF SESSIONS.

Set on the beautiful beach of Seminyak, Surf Haven Bali is a boutique spa retreat for women with a strong focus on lifestyle, health and wellbeing and promises guests they’ll leave relaxed and revitalised after their stay.

Surf Haven Bali’s weeklong wellbeing programs are designed specifically for women and tailored to the individual needs of each woman. The idea is to nurture the mind, body and soul by offering guests daily surf sessions, yoga sessions, healthy cuisine and spa treatments.

Packages are weeklong and provide guests with drivers to chauffer them around the island, custom-made spa products, Surf Haven luxury goody bags and CD memoirs of their experience at the resort.

For accommodation, the resort has two luxury four-bedroom Surf Haven villas with air-conditioning, 32-inch flat screen TVs, and generous ensuite bathrooms with eggshell bathtubs. The resort also features a large swimming pool, roof top bar, an open-air yoga studio, and tropical gardens.

The resort places great emphasis on customised service, where the programs are limited to just eight women at a time to ensure staff to guest ratio is 1:1 and therefore, the resort remains personalised, specialised and focused on each guests’ needs. This is achieved with the help of a personal butler who will be on hand around the clock for those staying in the luxury villas.

Surf Haven Bali’s founder, Janine Hall, says, “We go to great lengths to personalise our service as we understand that everyone has different needs and wishes. We want to make sure that you curl up with your favourite magazine, relax to the music you love and indulge in the food you desire while you’re here.”

Renowned therapeutic chef and nutritionist Samantha Gowing of Food Health Wealth developed the resort’s delicious and healthy menu, which includes citrus polenta pancakes drizzled with honey saffron yoghurt, spicy fish satay with Balinese sambal and sticky black rice with coconut cream to delight the senses.

The establishment of the resort came about when Hall decided to leave her demanding executive role after becoming burned out and redirected her focus on regaining her health. Her unique concept of a surf spa retreat developed from her passions for coaching, surfing, yoga and wellbeing.

“My fashion executive role took me around the world but eventually I burned out. All I wanted was to get away from it all and concentrate on getting healthy again by doing the things I loved – surfing, yoga and eating good nutritional food,” says Hall.
Although Surf Haven Bali is opened exclusively for women, due to high demand, the resort will make an exception in 2011 and offer several co-ed weeks for singles and couples.

A popular destination among Australian tourists, Bali is world-known for its dance, sculpture, painting, metalworking and music. Surrounded by coral reefs and white sandy beaches, the island is fast becoming the destination of choice among the wealthy to either take a vacation or establish a business.

Located in Bali’s upmarket area, the resort is also close to Seminyak’s beaches, high-end shopping district and world-class restaurants so guests will not be short of options to ensure a lively and vibrant time will be had while at the retreat.
