The Chatwal opens in NYC

New hotel group Hampshire Hotels & Resorts has launched their first hotel, The Chatwal in New York. Located in a Stanford White building at 130 West 44th street, The Chatwal is nestled in the heart of Manhattan's midtown. The dark, moody interiors are by Thierry Despont who drew inspiration from the Malletier luxury trunk designers of the 18th century, apparent in the leather-wrapped double closets, desk and night stands. The Lambs Club restaurant is an updated bar and grill, serving American classics. In a nod to the area's 1930s old Hollywood glamour, the bar serves prohibition-era vintage cocktails. The Chatwal Spa by Kashwere offers a bespoke spa menu with rejuvenating colour-based treatments.
