Virgin Blue launches new uniforms

Elle Macpherson, along with 60 of Virgin Blue’s own pilots and crew, launched the new Virgin uniform at a stylish runway show in Westfield Sydney. Designed by Australian designer Juli Grbac, the new uniform represents the first step in a series of changes for Virgin Blue this year. According to Danielle Keighery, Virgin Blue Group Executive of Corporate Communications, the designer uniforms are intended to reflect and redefine style in travel as well as befit the excellence service that Virgin staff provides. Juli Grbac claims the red and royal purple uniform design was inspired by the glamour of flying in the 1960s, given a contemporary edge to fit Virgin Blue’s new brand positioning.
