Etihad opens new First lounge in Abu Dhabi

Etihad Airways has opened its flash, ultra-luxe first lounge this week in Abu Dhabi.

On the heels of its new Melbourne Premium Lounge opening in early May, Etihad Airways has opened its new flagship first class lounge at Abu Dhabi International Airport this week.

Among 16 different ‘zones’, first class passengers will find amenities including an à la carte restaurant, bar, fitness room, cigar lounge, relaxation room and TV room, as well as a Six Senses Spa, Style & Shave hairdresser and nail bar.

Guests can dine à la carte from a menu featuring Arabian, Indian and international fare, made-to-order. An executive chef with experience from leading five-star hotels including Ritz-Carlton, Shangri-La, and InterContinental is heading the kitchen and all food is prepared in-house. A five-course Emirati tasting menu developed by chefs from Mezlai restaurant at Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi will also be available.

Guests travelling in the private The Residence suite have access to a separate space with private dining facilities, a Savoy-trained Butler, custom-made Poltona Frau Italian leather armchairs and its own shower room and prayer room.
