The InterContinental Tokyo Bay occupies a prime location only a short distance from major business, shopping, and entertainment centres. A walkway connects the hotel to Takeshiba Station and the popular Odaiba area, Tokyo Big Sight, and the Shiodome development are all within minutes. The famed Ginza shopping district can be reached in 10 minutes by car.

Guests may select a room with a view of Rainbow Bridge, Sumida River, Tokyo Skytree, or Tokyo Tower.

The hotel shuttle bus commutes from the hotel to Hamamatsucho station and Shinagawa station. From Hamamtsucho station, there is a 20-minute monorail to Haneda airport.

Guests should visit Tokyo Tower for a great view. On a clear day the Imperial Palace, Odaiba, Shinjuku Metropolitan, and even Mt. Fuji are visible.

Tsukiji Market, the biggest and most famous fish market in the world, is nearby and hosts a Tuna Auction, where large tuna are unloaded from docks and laid out for bidding.

Hama-Rikyu Gardens is surrounded by a moat of sea water from Tokyo Bay. Visitors can have a cup of Matcha Green Tea at the Nakashima tea house in the middle of the tidal pond, or take a Sumida River Boat from the gardens to Asakusa and Tokyo Skytree to get a feel of traditional and modern Japan. In the spring, visitors are treated to a stunning view of blooming cherry blossoms along the way.

Healthy fusion dishes are served by Chef Kenji Yoshimoto, who studied French cuisine at Michelin-starred restaurants in southern France. Meals start with Colourful Art Terrine for hors d’ouevres.

The concierge recommends starting off the morning with a nearby river cruise up to the traditional Asakusa district, which features Nakamise Shopping Street and Senso-ji Temple. Fantastic downtown-style shopping districts including Ginza, Shibuya, and Shinjuku, all of which are accessible on the JR Yamanote Train Line (a station is located near the hotel).
