The made-over Sanctuary Stanley’s Camp  is part of a multi-million-dollar investment program across the Sanctuary portfolio

Sanctuary Stanley’s Camp has reopened after undergoing an extensive facelift and refurbishment. Built on a 260,000-acre private concession in the renowned Okavango Delta, the transformation is part of a multi-million-dollar investment program across the Sanctuary portfolio, which has been inspired by the successful re-launch of Sanctuary Chief’s Camp in 2016 (now positioned as the most exclusive luxury camp in Botswana), and will to roll out across other Sanctuary Retreats properties over the next 12 months.

Set in a private concession in Botswana’s Okavango Delta shared only with Sanctuary Baines’ Camp, the property offers a private safari experience. The Camp boasts ten brand new luxury canvas tents – each featuring its own deck, with views over the dramatic flood plains, allowing for guests to watch giraffe and other plains animals march across the savannah. Guests can also expect five-star fixtures and fittings, replete with compact gym boxes filled with yoga equipment, a minibar and a coffee station.

In keeping with Sanctuary Retreats’ philosophy of Luxury Naturally, Sanctuary Stanley’s Camp has also been deliberately designed with sustainability in mind. Each of its tents are intended to leave the lightest possible footprint on the local environment, and the Camp also operates its own solar farm on site. Interiors and fittings include authentic touches like woven basket lights, made by local Botswanan craftsmen.

Alongside the new tents, there is also a new outdoor bar area and central tent housing the appropriately named Explorer Lounge. The new outdoor bar offers unrivalled views over the flood plains, giving guests an incredible wilderness experience in a real-life wide screen format.

Prices at Sanctuary Stanley’s Camp start from US$550 per person per night, based on two people sharing, including all meals and drinks (excluding premium brands), scheduled game activities, and transfers to and from Livingstone Airport and Stanley’s airstrip respectively. Sanctuary Retreats is also offering an extended stay offer across the Sanctuary properties including Sanctuary Stanley’s Camp, depending on your season of travel, which includes staying four to six nights to save up to 30%, and staying seven or more nights to save up to 40%.
