Reservations have opened for the new Hotel Chadstone Melbourne ahead of its November 2019 grand opening
Reservations have opened for Hotel Chadstone Melbourne – an MGallery by Sofitel property that will open in the shopping precinct of Chadstone this November.
Owned by the Gandel Group and Vicinity Centres and through their partnership with AccorHotels, the $130 million project—currently under construction—will introduce a luxurious accommodation offering to the south-east Melbourne retail hub.
Chadstone General Manager Fiona Mackenzie said the hotel will further enhance a precinct that is transforming into an integrated destination incorporating retail, dining, entertainment, tourism and business. “Hotel Chadstone Melbourne will be the leading Australian hotel to integrate some of the world’s best hospitality, lifestyle and luxury offering at Australia’s number one retail precinct,” said Chadstone General Manager Fiona Mackenzie. “Guests will enjoy an opulent destination to prepare or pamper, depending on whether they’re visiting for business or leisure.”
Hotel Chadstone Melbourne is also pursuing a 5 Star Green Star Design in an Australian first.
Once completed, the hotel will be 12 storeys tall and house 250 rooms including a rooftop conservatory bar, swimming pool and wellness centre offering beautiful panoramic views from Port Phillip Bay to the CBD and across the Dandenong Ranges. The project is already more than halfway through construction with the interior fit-out underway.
The guest rooms feature custom lighting, brass and leather finishes, lavish Appelles amenities and locally-sourced minibars featuring renowned Victorian produce. Since Chadstone is considered the Fashion Capital of Melbourne, every detail of the hotel’s aesthetic has been painstakingly considered, with the lobby, function spaces and suites including a bespoke digital art installation upon entry intended to evolve seasonally alongside the fashion trends of Chadstone.
The Hotel Chadstone Melbourne will also complement Chadstone’s visitor lounge, which opened late last year, designed to accommodate Melbourne’s growing tourism market. 24 million people, including 450,000 international guests, visit Chadstone each year.
Construction has also begun on ‘The Link’, the covered pedestrian walkway connecting Hotel Chadstone Melbourne with the retail precinct and Tower One—Chadstone’s commercial office tower. The walkway will help enhance accessibility for customers, retailers and office workers, and will fully integrate and leverage foot traffic between the buildings.
MGallery by Sofitel is AccorHotels’ collection of exclusive, design-led boutique hotels. Once open, Hotel Chadstone Melbourne will become the 11th MGallery hotel in Australia, and join other iconic addresses including Hotel Lindrum Melbourne, Harbour Rocks Hotel in Sydney, as well as others in Paris, Amsterdam, Bangkok and Vietnam.
Future guests can now reserve rooms via accorhotels.com with the official Hotel Chadstone Melbourne website scheduled to go live in the upcoming weeks.
