PONANT’s third vessel in the PONANT EXPLORERS series, the brand new Le Bougainville, has begun sailing the seas after her maiden voyage on the 15th of April from Malaga, Spain. The launch of Le Bougainville is a testament to PONANT’S timely introduction of six new vessels.
“A dream, firm beliefs, energy and boldness were what created PONANT. It is by drawing on those roots and our expertise that PONANT is preparing today to meet the challenges of tomorrow, to surprise and delight our guests. I wanted the ships in the PONANT EXPLORERS series to embody the very best in expedition cruising. Le Bougainville is the incarnation of that,” said Jean Emmanuel Sauvée, CEO and co-founder of PONANT.
As for Le Bougainville, guests can enjoy 92 staterooms and suites all with a balcony or private terrace, with refined interior design, cutting edge technologies and environmental innovations. Guests can also look forward to PONANT staples such as the “ Blue Eye”, a multi-sensorial underwater salon that allows guest to experience the underwater world via two portholes.
Travellers can look forward to three other new vessels from PONANT over the next 12 months:
- Le Dumont-d’Urville – June 2019
- Le Bellot – scheduled for April 2020
- Le Jacques Cartier – scheduled for July 2020
- Le Commandant Charcot – scheduled for May 2021
