International cruise company Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has launched its newest category of ship, the ‘Prima Class’ with the delivery of Norwegian Prima in July.

NCL’s Prima Class that will see six new ships delivered through 2027. Norwegian Prima has a capacity for 3,300 guests. The ship features wide-open spaces, with the largest amount of outdoor deck space and expansive accommodation options of any new ship build.

On board, guests can enjoy cuisine at a new gourmet ‘Indulge Food Hall’ with 11 casual dining stations; dine on traditional Italian cuisine at Onda by Scarpetta; or contemporary Mediterranean seafood dishes at Palomar.  Japanese cuisine is served at Hasuki, NCL’s interpretation of hibachi-style Japanese dining – or at the new sushi and sashimi restaurant, Nama.

Zero-waste cocktails made from surplus ingredients, organic wines and spirits made sustainably can be sampled at Metropolitan Bar.

An ‘Ocean Boulevard’ wraps around the entire deck so that guests can connect with the ocean while dining alfresco. The ship’s Infinity Beach features two infinity pools which are positioned close to water-level.

Take the Oceanwalk over two glass bridges to feel as though you are walking over the water. The Concourse is the first outdoor sculpture garden at sea with six installations created by international metal artist Alexander Krivosheiw and an art wall designed by David Harber.

The first charcoal spa at sea, originating from Japanese and Korean wellbeing practices, can be found at Norwegian Prima’s Mandara Spa. The new charcoal sauna is one of eight experiences at the spa – others include an ice room, experiential showers, a flotation salt pool and infrared sauna.

The ship’s most luxurious accommodation options can be found in The Haven by Norwegian. NCL’s ship-within-a-ship concept is an exclusive suite enclave designed by acclaimed Italian talent Piero Lissoni. The Haven offers access to all the ship’s amenities, as well as options reserved exclusively for guests of The Haven, such as a private restaurant, lounge, bar, sundeck, infinity pool, hot tubs, 24-hour butler service as well as priority embarkation, disembarkation and seating at shows and restaurants.
