Jeffrey Beers International has redesigned the guest accommodations at Fairmont’s castle in the Canadian Rockies.

Fairmont Banff Springs in Canada’s Banff National Park has unveiled new-look guest suites, following an extensive renovation of its accommodations.

The refurbishment project includes 110 Fairmont Gold guestrooms and signature suites, including the Crown Suite, set at the peak of the castle’s turret, and with a heritage of hosting royalty and icons of the silver screen like Marilyn Monroe.

Guests booking Fairmont Gold accommodation will now arrive at a new private courtyard that situates them within their beautiful alpine surroundings. A private concierge, spacious lounge with daily harvest-style breakfast, evening canapés, full-service bar, snacks, and beverages throughout the day are other components of the Fairmont Gold experience.

Those booking signature suites can access a private concierge, valet parking, access to the Fairmont spa, daily breakfast, and an in-room dry bar.

Design notes

Jeffrey Beers International (One&Only Palmilla, Fairmont Washington D.C.) was tasked with the overhaul of Fairmont Banff’s guest accommodations.

Fairmont Gold rooms have rich fabrics, including red leather-upholstered extended headboards, while bathrooms feature slate flooring and granite vanities.

Formerly known as the Royal Suite, the new Crown Suite is the pièce de résistance of the hotel. It features a new second bedroom and an enhanced main bedroom. A spacious entertaining area, living room with fireplace, dry bar, and two luxuriously appointed bathrooms comprise the impressive 1,500sqf space.

The design takes advantage of the suite’s panoramic views of the Bow Valley area of the UNESCO-listed Canadian Rockies, viewable through windows that let in plenty of natural light.
