Pioneering luxury yacht charter group, Rascal Voyages, will launch a new yacht, Rebel, in 2023 to cruise throughout Southeast Asia.
Indonesian experiential yacht charter travel company, Rascal Voyages, will add ‘Rebel’ to its fleet in 2023 — a traditional handmade phinisi yacht that can accommodate up to 10 guests in five suites. Group spaces on Rebel include a fine wine cellar and outdoor cinema area.
Rebel, along with its sister vessel, Rascal, can be hired for both cabin and private group voyages throughout Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.
Rascal Voyages offers guests off-the-grid expeditions aboard its two custom-designed yachts, each featuring hand-crafted contemporary design, premium service, and passionate local experts and guides on board.
Key Indonesian journeys navigate through Komodo and Raja Ampat all year; while voyages to the Spice Islands, Ring of Fire, and Rote occur seasonally. In 2023, Rascal Voyages will venture in to Thailand’s Tarutao National Park and Langkawi, Malaysia, for the first time.
Bespoke voyages ensure that no two trips will ever be the same. Guests can expect an immersion into the cultures of the region through local food, nature, wellness and community activities. Guests can explore and discover diverse marine life, trek to panoramic viewpoints, connect with Indigenous tribal leaders and communities, and uncover hidden beaches.
Design notes
The handcrafted phinisi yacht, Rascal, measuring 30 metres, was built in Sulawesi, Indonesia from traditional craftsmanship.
The goal was to create a ‘floating villa’ concept with interiors evoking the laid-back vibe reminiscent of a Hamptons beach house.
The Master Cabin features an ensuite bathroom, large desk, king-sized bed, additional daybed, flat screen TV, fully stocked minibar, and wraparound windows. There are four additional cabins of generous proportions, complete with ensuite bathrooms and elegant wooden storage.
At the heart of the yacht is the main deck area; an alfresco dining space where guests enjoy their daily meals freshly prepared by Rascal’s onboard chef. There is also a further indoor saloon for pre-dinner entertaining and cocktails. The foredeck is lined with day beds and stylish rattan lounge chairs, while the flat rooftop deck provides an ideal location for meditation, yoga, sunbathing — and viewing sunrise and sunset.
Guests can enjoy access to full scuba diving and snorkelling equipment and an in-house PADI dive instructor, four sea kayaks, three stand-up paddleboards, and wakeboards.
