Guests sailing aboard Silversea’s fleet can partake in an immersive culinary experience at one of the world’s most acclaimed restaurants.

Silversea Cruises has announced a collaboration with three Michelin-starred Mirazur restaurant — renowned chef Mauro Colagreco’s dining destination on the French Riviera — on a tailormade culinary experience for guests of the luxury cruise line.

Part of the brand’s S.A.L.T. culinary program, the experience will immerse guests in the culinary traditions of Menton and Mirazur’s award-winning coastal Mediterranean dining concept.

“I’ve long admired Mauro Colagreco’s talent, passion and creativity. With his world-class team of farmers, purveyors, bakers and chefs, Mauro has created both a unique expression of coastal Mediterranean cuisine as well as a beautiful vision of what an ethical restaurant ecosystem could be… Beyond just an opportunity to dine at one of the world’s best restaurants, our Mirazur experience will form truly meaningful connections between our guests and the cuisine and culture of the region,” said Adam Sachs, Director of Silversea’s S.A.L.T. programme.

Guests begin with a trip to the market in Menton’s old town, hosted by a Mirazur team member, where the restaurant’s suppliers will introduce guests to local produce and culinary traditions of the region.

Then, it’s on to Colagreco’s artisanal bakery, Mitron, where guests will learn about ancient grains, the process of milling and baking, and will taste their way through a range of breads and pastries, all sustainably produced through certified organic agriculture.

The third stop on this foodie odyssey is the Sanctuaries del Mirazur, five biodynamic vegetable gardens at varying altitudes that belong to the restaurant. Teams of gardeners here study the best conditions in which to produce 39 tomato varieties, Menton’s famed lemons, and vegetables. Much of the produce grown here forms the basis of the cuisine served at Mirazur.

Guests will conclude the experience with a nine-course tasting menu in Mirazur’s private tasting kitchen, inspired by the French Riviera and Colagreco’s Argentine heritage. Dishes will centre on produce from the gardens (which guests will have visited earlier that day), and seafood fresh from the Mediterranean.

“I like to say that Mirazur is much more than a restaurant. It is a complex ecosystem in which many cultures, visions, and talents are moving in the same direction, with the same values and respect for nature. We are so glad to have the chance to allow Silversea’s guests to discover this complexity, opening the doors of our tasting kitchen to immerse travellers into the unique craft of Mirazur and to explore the link between humans and nature on the French Riviera,” said Chef Mauro Colagreco.

The experience will be available during calls to Menton and Monte Carlo in summer 2023 and 2024, to guests aboard Silver Moon℠, Silver Dawn®, and, once launched, new ships Silver Nova℠ and Silver Ray℠.

S.A.L.T. (Sea and Land Taste), is Silversea’s culinary program dedicated to offering enriching gastronomic experiences to guests, both onboard and on land.
