The Singapore-based luxury hospitality brand’s first home hotel will debut with a 9,000-square-foot COMO Shambhala wellness space and three global dining concepts.

COMO Group has announced a September 2023 debut for COMO Metropolitan Singapore, the brand’s first hotel in its home country.

Set within COMO Orchard, a 19-storey lifestyle development in the heart of the Lion City, the hotel will have 156 rooms and suites, several dining outlets, a COMO Shambhala wellness space, and retail boutiques, spread over 11 floors. A rooftop pool bar will provide views of the city.

Designers commissioned for the project include Italian architect Paola Navone, (Otto Studio), Japanese interior design-consultant Koichiro Ikebuchi (Atelier Ikebuchi), American-Thai interior designer Preeti Sriratana (Modellus Novus), and Norwegian digital artist, Thomas Hilland.

Three dining concepts will include the first international location for the Michelin-starred New York and Miami Korean steakhouse, Cote, by Simon Kim; the all-day dining spot, COMO Cuisine, with a focus on Singaporean favourites; and COMO Shambhala Cuisine, with menus of health-driven dishes. Famed French pastry chef Cédric Grolet will also open his first pastry shop in Asia on the property’s first floor.

At COMO Shambhala, guests can unwind in a luxurious, 9,000-square-foot wellness space that provides spa treatments, fitness classes such as yoga, Pilates, and Gyro, and nutrition offerings like gut health and body composition diagnostics.

COMO Metropolitan Singapore will mark the 17th opening from the group, which was founded by Christina Ong in 1991.

Room rates will start at SG$625 (about AUD$692) per night.
