This new COMO hotel, with interiors by Paola Navone, lies in the heart of France’s prestigious Burgundy wine region.

COMO opened the doors to its luxurious Burgundian retreat in April, offering a new five-star accommodation option in one of the world’s most prestigious wine regions.

The 30-key property is spread across three heritage buildings situated in a 19th-century ‘place du village’ inn within Puligny-Montrachet, in the heart of Burgundy. The acclaimed Italian designer Paola Navone, the mind behind COMO’s Castello del Nero Estate in Tuscany, conceptualised the project, using the palette of the surrounding countryside as inspiration, with custom furnishings throughout.

Le Montrachet restaurant is headed by executive chef Romain Versino, who has curated a changing seasonal menu to showcase produce from local farmers and suppliers.

Wine enthusiasts can take their pick of four Grand Cru vineyards and 17 Premier Cru vineyards that are close to the hotel, with in-house sommelier André Berthier on hand to arrange private wine tastings and trips to wineries. Tasting workshops will see guests visit a vineyard to learn about the vines and sample tastings in the vineyard with the sommelier or vintner.

Other activities in the area might include bicycle tours, cooking classes, hiking, and hot air balloon rides over the vineyards.
