Hannah St. Hotel will welcome guests to Melbourne’s Southbank from September 2025

A new hotel is set to open in Melbourne’s Southbank neighbourhood as part of the Queensbridge Building development. Hannah St. Hotel will join the likes of Brisbane’s The Calile—which recently ranked 12th on the inaugural World’s 50 Best Hotels list—as part of the Collection by TFE Hotels portfolio.

Surrounded by the Yarra River, South Melbourne, CBD, and the Arts Precinct, the hotel will span 10 floors, offering 188 accommodations, a bar, restaurant, and rooftop space. It will complement the Queensbridge development which is set to contain 367 residential apartments, and amenities like private gardens, rooftop terraces, a lap pool, health and wellness facilities, and co-working spaces.

Hannah St. Hotel will align with other Collection by TFE Hotels in offering a guest experience that is strongly rooted in the surrounding locale, according to TFE Hotels CEO Antony Ritch: “Hannah St. Hotel will deliver an experience in a neighbourhood that is transforming, thanks to an investment in Australia’s largest cultural infrastructure project, into a truly world-class art precinct.”

Project developer Time & Place‘s Tim Price added: “This is a neighbourhood hotel. A building with roots in the community and a place where you’re welcomed in to enjoy the hospitality whether you’re staying short term or you’re a permanent resident. We aren’t developing and leaving, we’ll be in this building long after its doors have opened.”

Construction is underway on the project, set to be completed in Q3 2025. Hannah St. Hotel will complement a currently-in-construction, 102-key hotel in Sydney’s Surry Hills, and another hotel in Docklands, Melbourne, set to open in 2026.
