One of Dubai’s newest luxury hotels has opened its doors with a stylish design and a guest experience aimed at connecting with the worlds of art and fashion
The 188-key hotel is set within Uptown Tower, one of two buildings being developed for DMCC’s Uptown Dubai district. The 340-metre-high structure is designed by acclaimed architect Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill, whose other projects have included the city’s iconic Burj Khalifa and Central Park Tower in New York City.
Rooms and suites feature high ceilings and luxurious touches such as marble bathrooms, dark wooden finishes, and rich textiles. Guests can enjoy views of the city skyline, Ain Dubai, and the Arabian Gulf.
Five food and beverage concepts include Uptown Brasserie, serving modern French and Italian plates; The Citronelle Club, offering Asian fusion food; and Savant Mixology Bar, a cocktail lounge with Dubai views.
Meanwhile, the Uptown Spa by SO/ has been developed in collaboration with French luxury skincare brand, Anne Semonin Paris, as an urban retreat. Leading wellness treatments are available alongside a gym with scenic views of the city.
Australian-founded global architecture and design studio, Woods Bagot, worked on the design to instil a sense of luxury, sophistication, and style. Guests entering the lobby will encounter a lush graphic art installation designed by APL and Capsule Arts.
In keeping with its fashion-forward ethos — several of its other global properties have had fashion collaborators such as Christian Lacroix and Viktor & Rolf — brand partnerships and ongoing programming are set to connect SO/ Uptown Dubai with the fashion industry to support emerging talent.
