COMO Shambhala Singapore debuts as the brand’s largest urban flagship

COMO Shambhala – wellness yoga

The global wellness brand’s new flagship occupies a whopping 2,700 square metres

Global luxury wellness brand, COMO Shambhala, has launched its largest urban flagship in the place of the brand’s conception, Singapore. Occupying 2,700 square metres on the fourth floor of COMO Orchard – the new multi-floor lifestyle destination, the debut marks a contemporary new offering for the COMO Shambhala brand.

Milan-based designer and architect, Paola Navone of OTTO Studio designed the sprawling new space, which was inspired by the flow and palette of healing water, according to the brand.

Guests of the new COMO Shambhala Singapore will enjoy full access to the weekly class schedule, which includes sessions in meditation, pranayama, and high-intensity interval training (HIIT). Private personal training sessions are also available.

The wellness offering will comprise facials utilising PSskincare by Dr Priya Sen, while all-natural Sage and Ylang – Asia’s first certified and customisable microbiome-friendly skincare – makes its debut on COMO Shambhala Singapore’s treatment menus.

COMO Shambhala Singapore has also partnered with the Strength Clinic Academy for physiotherapy services, giving guests the chance to undergo injury prevention and pain management, rehabilitation, and sport readiness sessions.

The new 450-metre-squared gym showcases floor-to-ceiling city views and is outfitted with cutting-edge equipment along with a mini fitness circuit. A red-light therapy warm-up and recovery room for pre-and-post-training is available, along with two contrast therapy rooms offering heat therapy – each with an infrared sauna and a cold therapy ice bath using the world’s only plunge pool that produces real ice sheets.

Two medical-grade mild hyperbaric capsules are on hand to deliver up to a 35% increase in oxygen to increase blood flow. Hyperbaric chamber sessions are said to decrease inflammation and swelling and improve the body’s ability to fight free radicals while stimulating the growth of new blood vessel strength.

At COMO Cuisine on the building’s second floor, the COMO Shambhala Kitchen menu comprises raw juices, salads, and a wide selection of plant-based dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Founded in 1997 by Christina Ong, COMO Shambhala started as an intimate yoga studio in Singapore and has grown into a network of 17 spas spanning nine countries and four continents. Expert teaching in yoga, Gyrotonic and Pilates continues to form a critical part of the COMO Shambhala experience.

COMO Shambhala treatments and wellness programs are available seven days a week.
