The brand-new, bespoke Nile riverboat will be akin to a floating hotel at sea with 32 suites, and launch in late 2025

Luxury travel company, Abercrombie & Kent has announced it is building a brand-new bespoke Nile riverboat, which will launch in late 2025. The brand says the craft, which will be the brand’s fifth boat in Egypt, will be ‘the finest new craft on the Nile’.

The design of the boat will boast all the facilities and services of a high-end floating hotel, including two restaurants – one indoor and one outdoor – serving world-class food made with locally sourced ingredients, along with a spa, a gym, elegant social spaces, a swimming pool and a sundeck.

Excursions aboard the new boat will continue A&K’s history of affording travellers behind-the-scenes access and insider destination perspectives, with the brand stating the new craft will offer the most immersive Nile cruise experience yet. The travel company’s network of experts in Egypt includes leading Egyptologists and well-connected fixers who can arrange anything from private after-hours access inside the Pyramids of Giza to intimate dinners inside ancient temples.

A hand-picked crew including renowned Egyptologists will be on board, and daily, intimate and exclusive excursions that will be on offer to give guests a thorough understanding of the living history of the Nile and the fascinating secrets of ancient Egypt.

On board, guest will stay in some of the largest and most well-appointed suites on the market, according to A&K. Each of its 32 elegant cabins will have floor-to-ceiling windows and Juliet balconies above the water, marble bathrooms and 400-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets; while two presidential suites take the luxury stakes up a notch, each with an outdoor hot tub on their own private decks. The new boat will also be available for private charters.

“Nobody knows Egypt better than Abercrombie & Kent,” said Cristina Levis, CEO of A&K Travel Group. “We pioneered luxury Nile cruises more than four decades ago, and every year we continue to further elevate this enchanting voyage…”

Construction has begun at Massara Shipyard in Egypt and is expected to be completed in Autumn 2025, with the name of the new Nile riverboat to be revealed in the coming months.
