Anantara has expanded its global presence, with the recent debut of Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort in the UAE
Located on a secluded peninsula in the United Arab Emirates, Anantara Ras Al Khaimah Resort is comprised of the first overwater villas in the region. The property features lush gardens, an infinity pool and a mangrove sanctuary, all set against the Hajar mountains with panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf.
174 rooms are on offer, including guest rooms in the main building, in addition to a cluster of overwater villas. The spacious villas feature an outdoor deck with a private plunge pool, panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf and natural mangrove lagoon and a reserved cabana on the villa-only beach. Guests of the villa have access to complimentary experiences, such as massages and private barbecues.
The spa at Ras Al Khaimah Resort comprises seven treatment rooms and wet areas for men and women. The treatments at the spa reflect a strong connection to land and tradition, with indigenous ingredients and techniques used.
The resort showcases six restaurants and bars, including an all-day dining restaurant, Sea Breeze, a signature Asian fusion restaurant, Mekong, and a Mediterranean seafood restaurant called Beach House. The resort also has a gourmet deli, pool bar, lobby lounge and bar, and guests have the option of scheduling a bespoke private dining experience with private chefs, either on the beach or aboard a private yacht.
Activities available at the resort include exploring an Emirati pearl farm, taking a hot-air balloon adventure over the desert to observe indigenous wildlife and a sunset cruise with dinner prepared by a private chef. Other options include hiking on Jebel Jais – the highest mountain in the UAE – with a gourmet picnic and guided kayaking tours in nearby mangroves inhabited by flamingos and herons.
