The highly anticipated Morpheus hotel is open for business in Melco Resorts and Entertainment’s City of Dreams casino resort. Being called “The Icon of the New Macau”, the $1 billion building masterpiece is an undisputed architectural marvel designed by the late Dame Zaha Hadid – “The Queen of the Curve” and the cornerstone of the new Phase III development of City of Dreams. Morpheus is the first hotel brand to be wholly developed and created by Melco Resorts & Entertainment, with the company on a mission to  embodying a new contemporary, simple yet sophisticated kind of luxury like no other, and sets a new benchmark for ultra-luxury hospitality in Macau that has the potential to attract visitors from across the globe.

“It’s rare, even in the world of luxury, when a project of this scale maintains a focus on details to the level found here in Morpheus. It’s a game changer for Macau, a new benchmark for integrated resorts, and a perfect example of how Melco always does things differently,” David Sisk, Property President of City of Dreams, Macau, said.

The new hotel offering a number of world’s firsts including the most apparent – as the world’s first free-form exoskeleton-bound high-rise architectural design, incorporating a series of architectural and technological breakthroughs, both inside and out.

The Morpheus Spa offers guests a world-firsts in-house Spa Butler concept and Snow Garden installation – the first spa concept in the world to feature real snow. Morpheus’ signature Sky Pool is another highlight, located 40 stories up and a dizzying 130 meters above the ground.

The retail space at Morpheus will also host pop-ups with must-have brands and special product partnerships with contemporary artists, including concept takeovers and exclusive displays of the artists’ work.

Art installations are also scattered throughout City of Dreams, in a bid to convey a focus on design, architecture and a style of luxury the hotel calls “conscientious contemporary hedonism”.
